We were able to afford it because we are sharing with my twin sister and her partner. She may have kids too and we figured we could pool resources and improve our living conditions at the same time. We are all very happy, anyone with children knows that the nuclear family idea becomes more pressurised when children come along. Our life is much livelier now, it is more manageable practically and my daughter loves it. This wouldn’t be for everyone, but for us it was the right move.
